ROB RUN Best Build: Loadouts for Every Role
ROB RUN has no skill tree, so a build is a loadout and a route. Four working builds for heists, cargo, police and territory play, with budget swaps.
Quick answer. There is no skill tree in the current build, so a ROB RUN build is a weapon pair, a gear priority and a route. The strongest general build is the AP Scalar plus RC 5.56, light armour and two meds. Heist runners swap the rifle for a shotgun; cargo haulers keep the rifle and travel light.
- No skill points, no classes, no respec.
- Your build is what you carry and what you are willing to lose.
- The route matters more than the loadout: a good exit beats a better gun.

Pick gear you can afford to lose. A loadout that survives death beats a perfect DPS sheet.
First, the thing that confuses new players
ROB RUN is an extraction shooter inside a crime sandbox. It has no character level and no skill tree in the launch build. Progression comes from property, clan position and the Power Pyramid, not from allocating points.
That means a "build" here is:
- A weapon pair that covers two ranges.
- Gear you are willing to lose, plus gear you are not.
- A route that gets the bag to a fence or a bank.
- A base that gives you a respawn and storage.
Anything that claims to be a skill build for ROB RUN is either outdated or describing a different game. The wiki hub→ separates official systems from community assumptions.
The four working builds
1. Heist runner
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | TAG-12K or ORDR-12 | Ends interior fights in one burst |
| Secondary | RC 5.56 | Covers the street on the way out |
| Gear | Light armour, two meds, mask | Speed and recovery over protection |
| Tools | Whatever the target needs | Decoder, keys or entry items |
This is the build for corner stores, jewellery shops and bank vaults. You expect to fight in rooms, so the shotgun does the work and the rifle covers the exit. Do not take a sniper into a vault.
The heist guide→ covers target selection and staff control. The short version: scout first, mask second, and never make a second trip.
2. Cargo hauler
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | RC 5.56 | Enough reach to avoid fights |
| Secondary | CB45 or Vulture 50 | Cheap backup or exit watch |
| Gear | Light armour, one med, large bag | Bag space is the payload |
| Tools | Cargo route knowledge | The map is the weapon |
Cargo hauling is a travel build. You are not trying to win fights; you are trying to not have them. Take the rifle because it can answer a chance encounter, and keep the second slot cheap so a death does not erase the run's profit.
The loot values page→ lists what is worth carrying and what to leave on the floor.
3. Police shift
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | RC 5.56 | Range plus a fast follow-up |
| Secondary | LM 249 | Sustained fire when backup arrives |
| Gear | Department gear, meds | You only lose issued equipment |
| Tools | Patrol vehicle | Mobility is the job |
Police officers lose department-issued gear on death, not personal items. That changes the risk calculation: you can take fights a criminal would avoid, because the loss is capped. The trade-off is lower income per run, covered in the police guide→.
4. Territory defender
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | LM 249 or SR Reaper | Hold an angle at range |
| Secondary | AP Scalar | Push after a reload |
| Gear | Heavier armour, three meds | You expect a sustained fight |
| Tools | Base defence modules | Fuses and alerts |
This is the build for clan fights and base defence. It is deliberately heavier and slower than a heist build, because the objective is to hold ground, not to leave with a bag.
Budget versions
| Budget | Build | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Under one good run | CB45 + looted shotgun | Enough for a corner store; sell the cargo before you upgrade |
| One good run | AP Scalar + RC 5.56 | The best value pair in the current list |
| Several good runs | TAG-12K + RC 5.56 + armour | The general-purpose heist kit |
| Established | LM 249 + SR Reaper + heavy armour | For clan fights and base defence |
Do not buy the expensive build first. The money guide→ explains why a rented plot and a workbench compound faster than a rifle.
Gear priority
When your bag is full and you have to choose, take things in this order:
- A weapon you can use. A Mark 3 shotgun beats a Mark 1 sniper you have never fired.
- Ammunition. A gun without ammo is a heavy stick.
- Meds. Two is the practical minimum for a heist; one is a gamble.
- Armour. Useful, but it does not stop a bad route.
- Cargo. Valuable only if it reaches a fence.
The order changes if you are cargo hauling: the cargo is the point, and the gear exists to protect it.
What to leave at home
- Keys you do not need. A key is only valuable if you survive to use it.
- A second heavy weapon. Two rifles is weight without coverage.
- All your cash. Bank it. Cash in a bag is loot for whoever kills you.
- Rare cosmetics on a heist. They do not help and they mark you as worth chasing.
How the base fits a build
Your base is not just storage. It is a respawn point, which means a build that starts at your base can take a different route than one that starts at the default spawn. A workbench lets you maintain gear; storage lets you keep a spare kit.
The base guide→ covers the build order. For loadouts, the relevant part is simple: keep one spare weapon and one spare bag at base, so a death costs you a run instead of a session.
FAQ
Does ROB RUN have a skill tree?
No. The launch build has no skill points or character levels. Progression comes from gear, property, clan position and the Power Pyramid.
What is the best build for solo players?
The AP Scalar plus RC 5.56 with light armour and two meds. It covers close and mid-range, is cheap enough to replace, and does not depend on a team.
What is the best build for heists?
A shotgun as primary and a rifle as secondary. The TAG-12K or ORDR-12 handles interiors; the RC 5.56 covers the exit.
Should I wear heavy armour?
Only if you expect a sustained fight, such as base defence or a clan battle. For heists, speed and a clean exit matter more than damage reduction.
